Gigabyte Unveils Radeon R9 280 WindForce OC Graphics Card

Gigabyte launched its first Radeon R9 280 graphics card, the R9 280 WindForce OC (model: R928WF3OC-3GD). Gigabyte Rolls Out its Radeon R9 270 WindForce OC Graphics Card

Gigabyte hopped onto the Radeon R9 270 bandwagon with a card based on its slim WindForce 2X cooling solution, the GV-R9270OC-2GD. This factory-overclocked card uses the company's triangle-cool heatsink that's ventilated by a pair of 100 mm spinners, strapped onto a black Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB. The card offers factory-overclocked speeds of 950 MHz core, 975 MHz boost, and 5.60 GHz (GDDR5-effective) memory. Based on the 28 nm "Curacao" silicon, the R9 270 features 1,280 stream processors, 80 TMUs, 32 ROPs, and a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.

GIGABYTE Rolls Out GeForce GTX 760 WindForce 3X OC Series

GIGABYTE kicked off its GeForce GTX 760 series with a pair of custom-design graphics cards. Both cards are based on an Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB that's repurposed from previous-generation GeForce GTX 680 graphics cards; feature identical factory-overclocked speeds, while differ with the cooling solutions. The GV-N760OC-2GD Rev 1.0 features a blue colored PCB and the WindForce 3X cooler that featured on several of the company's previous generation high-end graphics cards; while the GV-N760OC-2GD Rev 2.0 features a black colored PCB, and the new WindForce 450W cooling solution. Both cards offer out of the box clock speeds of 1085 MHz core, 1150 MHz GPU Boost, and 6.00 GHz memory. Both cards are priced at $250 a pop.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2GB WindForce OC Listed

Gigabyte is working on a premium GeForce GTX 650 Ti graphics card that doubles the memory amount, packs factory-overclocked speeds, and better cooling over NVIDIA reference design, for a relatively small premium. The GeForce GTX 650 Ti 2 GB WindForce OC graphics card was listed on Spanish online retailer PC Componentes for €169, which the source claims to be a €24 premium over the baseline for GTX 650 Ti. Gigabyte's card features 2 GB of GDDR5 memory across a 128-bit wide memory interface (compared to 1 GB), features clock speeds of 1032 MHz core (compared to 925 MHz core reference), and Gigabyte's own paraphernalia, including Ultra Durable VGA PCB and WindForce 2X cooling solution.

Gigabyte Comes Up With a 3 GB GeForce GTX 660 Ti

Gigabyte Introduces a 4 GB GeForce GTX 670 OC Card

Thinking that mo' memory doesn't equal mo' problems, Gigabyte has went on and constructed a new Kepler-powered graphics card with 4 GB of onboard VRAM (double the usual amount), the GV-N670OC-4GD. This GeForce GTX 670 makes use of a WINDFORCE 3X 450W triple-fan/triple-slot cooling system, features an Ultra Durable VGA design and has its Base/Boost GPU clocks set to 980/1058 MHz (up from the stock 915/980 MHz).

Gigabyte's card also has an Ultra Durable VGA design (2oz copper PCB, Ferrite Core (Metal) Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET, Japanese Solid Capacitor), a GPU clocked at 1071/1137 MHz Base/Boost (standard is 1006/1058 MHz), a 256-bit memory interface, a memory clock of 6008 MHz, and dual-DVI, HDMI (gold-plated) and DisplayPort outputs. No word yet on availability or pricing.

Gigabyte Ready with GeForce GTX 660 WindForce 2X Series

Gigabyte's GeForce GTX 660 lineup takes advantage of the company's Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB technology with WindForce 2X cooling solution. The company, much like every other AIC partner, launched two models, a reference-clocked base model with 980/1033/6008 MHz clock speeds, and an OC model clocked at 1033/1098/6008 MHz. The base model is priced at $230, while the OC model goes for $260. Based on the 28 nm GK106 silicon, the GPU packs 960 CUDA cores and a 192-bit wide memory interface, holding 2 GB of memory.

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 WindForce 2X Graphics Card Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures of Gigabyte GeForce GTX 670 WindForce 2X graphics card, which was released towards the end of July, without much fuss. GIGABYTE Gives Radeon HD 7800 Series WindForce Treatment

GIGABYTE is out with its custom-design Radeon HD 7800 series graphics cards on day one, the company prepared a Radeon HD 7870 model, and an HD 7850 one, augmented with its WindForce cooling solutions. Gigabyte Technology has now added to its website a second Radeon HD 7970 graphics card, the (previously-leaked) model codenamed GV-R797OC-3GD which features a dual-slot, triple-fan cooler, a custom PCB, and a GPU clocked at 1000 MHz (the standard frequency is 925 MHz).

Gigabyte's customized HD 7970 also has an Ultra Durable VGA construction (2oz copper PCB, Tier 1 memory, Japanese Solid Capacitor, Ferrite Core Chokes, Low RDS (on) MOSFET), a 384-bit memory interface, 3 GB of GDDR5 VRAM set to 5500 MHz (no overclock here, unfortunately), DVI, HDMI and dual Mini DisplayPort outputs, and CrossFireX support. The GV-R797OC-3GD's price tag has yet to be revealed.

Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 Custom-Design Graphics Card Pictured

Here is the first picture of a non-reference design Radeon HD 7970 graphics card. Made by Gigabyte, the GV-R797OC-3GD is a factory-overclocked graphics card, which makes use of a custom Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB by the company, and a custom-design triple-fan WindForce cooler. GIGABYTE unveiled its GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448 Cores graphics card offering, the GV-N560448-13I. This card is based on Gigabyte's in-house GF110 Ultra Durable VGA PCB, and is cooled by its own Windforce 3X Vapor-Chamber cooler. The card sticks to NVIDIA reference clock speeds of 732/1464/950(3800) MHz core/CUDA cores/memory(effective). It packs 448 CUDA cores, and 1280 MB of memory across a 320-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.

The Ultra Durable VGA PCB makes use of a 2 oz copper layer to improve cooling and electrical stability, ferrite core chokes, Japanese solid-state capacitors, low RDS (on) MOSFETs, and tier-1 Samsung GDDR5 memory chips. This custom design graphics card sticks to AMD's reference clock speeds, but creates some overclocking headroom with its WindForce 3X cooler, and a strong VRM on the PCB. The new revision 2.0 packs an NEC/Tokin Proadlizer, which is a high-grade multiphase capacitor, that helps in conditioning the power to the GPU.

Apart from this small yet important change, everything else is the same. The PCB uses Gigabyte's Ultra Durable VGA+ construction, which includes 2 oz copper PCB, low RDS (on) MOSFETs, ferrite core chokes, hand-picked tier-1 GDDR5 memory chips by Samsung or Hynix, hand-picked GPU, and clock speeds of 880 MHz core and 5.50 GHz GDDR5 effective memory. There is 2 GB of memory. Expect the new revision to cost roughly the same as the original.

The new model is slightly slower than the GV-N560SO-1GI the company released last month, which has clock speeds of 1000/2000/1145 MHz. The GTX 560 Ti SOC from Gigabyte is based on a custom design PCB that uses Ultra Durable VGA+ high grade components, and WindForce 2X cooler.

The WindForce 2X cooler makes use of a large aluminum fin array to which heat is conveyed by a number of copper heat pipes that make direct contact with the GPU. Apart from these, the card features 384 CUDA cores, and 1 GB of memory over a 256-bit wide GDDR5 memory interface.

The GV-N560SO-1GI uses Gigabyte's Ultra Durable VGA+ PCB, which is rich in copper and uses top-grade components. It is cooled by a larger version of WindForce 2X, which the company earlier used on older high-end GPUs. Gigabyte also run its own performance tests on the card. The card yielded X11515 points in 3DMark Vantage Extreme preset, and P24590 in Performance preset. The card is said to be at least made public, if not released to market, on the 25th of this month.
