SHARP to Introduce PN-K322B Touchscreen 4K Ultra HD LED Monitor

Sharp Imaging and Information Company of America (SIICA), a division of Sharp Electronics Corporation, will introduce a new 32-inch-class (31.5" diagonal) LCD LED monitor, the PN-K322B. The thinnest in its class, this professional-use monitor features a Sharp developed high-sensitivity, high-precision touchscreen and delivers 4K Ultra HD resolution (3,840 x 2,160 pixels) - four times the pixel resolution of Full HD.

As previewed at InfoComm and CE Week earlier this summer, the PN-K322B is Sharp's latest 4K Ultra HD monitor. Its high-precision touchscreen allows accurate onscreen handwriting of fine text and lines, with writing performed via a dedicated touch pen with a pen-tip width of just 2 mm. The display also supports up to 10-point multi-touch operation.

Genius today releases a next generation wireless keyboard and touchpad combination, SlimStar T8020, in North America. Lenovo today announced several new touch-enabled Windows laptops, along with Lenovo Miix, a platform-bending multi-mode device that adapts to a user's every need. ASUS Announces New PCs with Latest 4th Generation Intel Core processors

ASUS today announced four new desktop PCs with the latest 4th generation Intel Core processors for high-performance productivity and entertainment. The G10 and M51 are stylish, floor-standing PCs; while the ET2311 and ET2702 are slimline All-in-One PCs with 23-inch and 27-inch widescreen displays, respectively. All four models also feature powerful NVIDIA and AMD discrete 3D graphics, with ASUS SonicMaster audio technology for incredible sound quality.

The ASUS G10 and ASUS M51 are designed for fuss-fee operation with flexible support for mobile devices. Iiyama Announces ProLite T2234MC 21.5-inch Multi-Touch Monitor

Iiyama announced the ProLite T2234MC 21.5-inch monitor with multi-touch. Designed primarily for kiosks and public PCs, the monitor features a durable bezel and screen surface, that's compliant with IP54 standard. Helping its kiosk credentials is its IPS panel, which provides 178° horizontal and 178° vertical viewing angles, which lets you tilt the screen 90° without worrying about visibility in all angles, and LED backlit illumination that features low power draw.

The monitor features 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution, 8 ms response time, 1000:1 static and mega-contrast, 225 cd/m² maximum brightness, and display inputs that include D-Sub (VGA) and DVI. Measuring 517.5 x 219 x 351.5 mm (WxDxH), it weighs about 7.2 kg. Slated for mid-December, and backed by a 3-year warranty, the ProLite T2234MC from Iiyama is priced around 89,800¥ (about US $1100).

Lenovo Unveils ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch Ultrabook with Windows 8

Ahead of its December launch, Lenovo gave us a sneak peak of the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Touch Ultrabook on its website. The 14-incher retains the essential design of its August 2012 launched predecessor, with the addition of Windows 8 Pro, a multi-touch screen, and a screen-resolution marked "HD+," which most probably is 1600 x 900 pixels. No other details were revealed. We don't expect the new X1 Carbon to deviate from its formidable system specs, which includes Core i5 "Ivy Bridge" with vPro processor, GeForce graphics, and SSD/HDD storage options.

Microsoft Working on Xbox Surface, 7-inch Gaming Tablet

It looks like Razer's reluctance over Project Fiona may have cost it some potential market share, and it's going to have to face mighty Microsoft in the upcoming gaming tablet market segment. Redmond plans to fuse its Xbox and Surface product lines to create the Xbox Surface, a 7-inch tablet designed for gaming. There's not much information on how Microsoft will handle input, but we're guessing that in addition to its multi-touch screen, Microsoft could bundle a wireless Xbox 360 controller. The tablet itself could be designed with buttons and thumb-sticks. The 7-inch 16:9 screen of the Xbox Surface features a native resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (720p). Driving the tablet is an ARM-based SoC, though it's possible that Microsoft could decide to use an Intel x86 chip. The ARM processor is backed by high-bandwidth memory. The new tablet is most likely slated for 2013.

LG Announces a Windows 8 Tablet and All-in-One PC

Today LG Electronics has revealed some of its first products running Windows 8, the H160 tablet boasting a slide-out keyboard and the V325 all-in-one PC. The H160 is 15.9 mm thick, it weights 1.05 kg and features a 11.6-inch IPS touchscreen, WiFi, USB and HDMI ports, a microSD card slot, and a battery allowing for up to 10 hours of operation.

The V325 has a 23-inch (1920 x 1080) screen supporting 10-finger multi-touch, a Core i5 processor, a GeForce GT 640M graphics card, a TV tuner, and it comes bundled with a remote control. In addition to the H160 and V325 LG will also be releasing (this week), another all-in-one desktop, the ET83, and two ultrabooks, the Z355 and Z460, all pre-loaded with Windows 8 of course.
