The Software

As far as gaming headset drivers go, 1MORE did a decent job with the software package that supports the Spearhead VRX. The main window is split into three sections/sliders over which you can control the headphone and microphone volume, as well as the level of bass. By adjusting the bass slider, you're actually boosting the 50 Hz frequency band. The software will also notify you about how strong the vibrations will be based on how the bass has been adjusted. I suggest you stay between 50%, which is a neutral position of the slider, and 60%. The lower portion of the main window allows you to activate the microphone noise canceling feature and access the options related to head tracking, RGB lighting, and system equalizer.

The head-tracking section of the driver is straightforward—turn it on, look directly at your screen, click "Reset" and you're good to go.

The lighting system settings let you adjust the color of the illuminated parts of the headset and pick a mode for the glowing "stick"; it can glow constantly, have a breathing effect (with adjustable speed) or blink whenever the built-in microphone picks up a sound. It should be noted that you can only select a single color that will be applied to the entire RGB system of the headset. It's not possible to have the stick in red and the ear cup rings in blue, for example.

The system-wide equalizer offers 8 frequency bands, 8 factory presets (profiles), and the option to save your own custom presets. The names of the factory presets are weird, but I'm told by 1MORE that they're going to be changed and clarified in one of their upcoming driver updates.
