The Shanling M1 Plus is a highly capable and portable digital audio player (DAP) that prioritizes local playback to the point of using its own operating system with pre-installed apps only. There's still Tidal for streaming, but the goal here is to allow the user to lose themselves with music in the absence of any distractions.
Shanling sets its sight on the more affordable side of the wired IEM market with the Sono. It uses two dynamic drivers and a custom balanced armature driver in addition to a tuning nozzle system to put out an engaging, bassy sound in a tiny form factor to also appease those with smaller ears.
Shanling has an interesting product in the BA1 desktop Bluetooth receiver. It uses hardware seen in smaller, more portable form factors, but markets it more as a way to add Bluetooth connectivity to desktop audio hardware. There is also a feature-rich 1st-party app which enhances the user experience.
Shanling leverages over three decade of experience in the audio industry in its true wireless earphones lineup. Today, we examine the MTW300, a carbon nanotubed diaphragm dynamic driver setup designed similarly to IEMs with ergonomics, comfort, and a deliberate audiophile tuning in mind.
