The Package
We're quite used to monitors arriving in generic brown boxes. However, when it comes to high-end gaming models, manufacturers go out of their way to make their packages as attractive as possible.
The front of the box depicts the Predator XB271HU and clearly tells us that it belongs to the Predator line, which Acer reserves for their very best gaming hardware.
The rear of the box looks exactly the same.
Key specs can be found on each side of the box and the top. Here, you'll find out that the Predator XB271HU is a 27" IPS panel with WHQD resolution (2560x1440), the NVIDIA G-Sync technology, an overclockable refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, ULMB, a fully adjustable stand, etc.
The sticker on the left side of the box lists a few additional specs and tells us when the monitor was made.
Aside from the monitor and its stand, the box contains a DisplayPort 1.2 cable, an USB 3.0 upstream cable, two power cables (with UK and EU plugs), a service and warranty manual, and a user manual. The supplied cables are each only 1.5 meters long, which is a bit on the short side.
