Introduction

Alienware Logo

Alienware is the gaming subdivision of Dell. The Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is the counterpart to the Alienware Pro Wireless Gaming Keyboard. Both have been developed in collaboration with Team Liquid, and therefore are intended for competitive gaming in particular. To this end, the Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse utilizes PixArt's PAW3395 capable of 26,000 CPI, along with Omron D2FP-FN2 (China) optical switches for the main buttons, whose main upside is their inability to ever develop double-clicking due to wear and tear. In wired operation, polling rates of up to 8000 Hz are supported, whereas up to 4000 Hz are available in wireless operation. At 1000 Hz, Alienware cites a battery life of up to 120 hours. Advertised at "<60 g," the Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse indeed weighs 59 g, and this weight is achieved without resorting to holes or an open-bottom design. The feet are made of pure PTFE. Though not mentioned anywhere, support for NVIDIA Reflex is present, allowing one to measure latency in real-time on compatible monitors. Configuration is possible within Alienware Command Center, which has all the usual options. The Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is available in either black or white.
