Subjective Value Conclusion

The Aorus 17 provides a decent set of features and options that make this platform stand out from other laptops on the market today, beginning with the power button, a large lit button in the middle of the top of the keyboard deck. The camera in the top edge of the screen supports Windows Hello, so you can log into your system with minimal effort. There's also a stereo microphone array here. The camera has a light sensor, and the screen will automatically adjust its brightness according to surrounding conditions.

The cooling of the Aorus 17 uses all available space for airflow, so there are vents up top, near the screen around the power button that help keep this system cool, and, thereby, quiet. The Aorus 17 manages to do that really well, too, with minimal noise.

The Aorus does things a bit differently than others in lots of ways, even with the RGB LEDs on the keyboard. Hit that "Fn" button and the associated shortcut keys light up.

When I first powered up the laptop and entered the OS fully, the system updated itself quickly, and then rebooted. I was glad to see this happen automatically since I would have done so manually otherwise.
