Installation

Installing the parts is really a no brainer with this case. There is no deviation from the standard installation. You will be disappointed if you are looking for fancy mainboard trays, drive rails or removable drive cages. Apevia supplies seven mainboard stand-offs. The board I used is of the narrow kind, using just six stand-offs, but bigger and thus better boards will use up to nine of these. This leaves us two short, so you better grab some additional ones from somewhere else.

The drives install is nothing out of the ordinary as well. Each device is secured by up to eight screws, four on each side. Each hard drive can be fitted with a maximum of four screws. The number supplied will not suffice, if you choose to secure the floppy drive or optical drives with the maximum amount possible.

After everything is installed, the power and IDE cables are connected. Note that I have not installed a graphics card, but you should watch out when installing large cards like the GeForce 8800 series or the Radeon X1000 series, as they may interfere with installed hard drives at the same height. This has always been a problem with standard layouts like this.
