Assembly
Pictorial and in two languages, English and Romanian, the installation guide is shown below. I should state that it is always better to look at the manual before assembling a gaming chair. Moreover, if assembling one in a timely fashion is the goal, another pair of hands is a good idea. I found it hard to fit the backrest between the metal hinges and had to ask for help because a lot of force was required. With the backrest so tight, securing one of the bolts onto its hinges was difficult because I could not locate the opening in the upholstery.
Initial Impression
Once the pieces come together, what first comes to mind is that the surface area isn't large enough for the high maximum weight limit.
Even though it has a vintage black and white color scheme, carbon-fiber-like patches are scattered all over the backrest and seat to give it a modern-futuristic look. Most of the surface area is covered in Italian Alcantara synthetic fabric, which imitates suede in an attempt to bolster overall looks. The Calypso has adopted the ever-pervasive bucket-seat design; combined with two white cords running alongside the chair, it does look like your typical gaming chair.
