Board Software

You might think the ASUS P87I-PRO does not include a lot of software if you go by the number of pictures I included above, but there are well over a dozen different parts and tools that now make up ASUS's AI Suite3, which allows you to access and customize nearly everything you found in BIOS and a few additional options, like USB and Wi-Fi functionality, in the OS. All the usual stuff is here - monitor everything, adjust voltage and clock, or make changes to fan speed profiles (these override any settings you might have picked in the BIOS). Update tools and configuration listing tools also make an appearance, with ASUS's expected ease of use.


There are a couple other tools here worth mentioning. ASUS provides their customers with some online web storage via an included utility, and the board's audio has its own interface with which you can customize the Realtek audio CODEC through a simple graphical interface. ASUS spends considerable time trying to make the end user experience as enjoyable as computing can be, and it shows not only in the hardware, but also in their software.
