Overclocking

With manual overclocking, maximum overclock of our sample is 1860 MHz on the memory (6% overclock), restricted by the adjustment range in Wattman. For some reason, AMD chooses to artificially limit overclocking potential of their cards. GPU overclocking did max out the slider range, too.

The maximum stable overclock was 1820 MHz Boost, which increases average GPU clock from 1730 MHz to 1772 MHz (2% overclock).

Overclocked Performance

Using these clock frequencies, we ran a quick test of Unigine Heaven to evaluate the gains from overclocking.


Actual 3D performance gained from overclocking is 3.2%.
