With robust VRM cooling and design, the ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming should prove a capable overclocker, especially when paired with ASUS's excellent BIOS. Lots of connectivity, both for USB and PCIe devices, also makes the ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming an attractive choice for those with greater peripheral requirements.

With lots of performance potential, good storage options, and great looks, the ROG STRIX Z490-E Gaming is shaping up to be an excellent jack-of-all-trades board.
