Team Group T-Force Carder Z440 TUF Edition 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe

Another vital element of any modern system is the SSD, and with PCIe 4.0 firmly planting its grasp with the latest generation Intel platform, it makes sense to provide an SSD that matches the base system. In this case, Team Group has chosen to take their Cardea Z440 1 TB SSD and give it the TUF edition treatment. Again, this is a drive that is meant to give you all the benefits of PCIe 4.0 without the bells and whistles of ARGB or cost of blistering fast speeds, while still clocking in at a solid 5,000 MB/s read and 4,400 MB/s write.

Inside the package is the SSD and heatsink assembly. To align with the core promise of the TUF series, the sizable heatsink lacks any fancy ARGB elements, but with its 32 g of aluminium, it will be able to keep the drive nice and cool. This is also where you will find the TUF gaming branding to match the other core components nicely.

The SSD is an unaltered vanilla Team Group Cardea Z440, so you know you will be getting the same type of performance and reliability as the normal retail variant. As you can see, it utilizes a Phison controller and features Kingston DRAM for performance.

Installing the heatsink is a bit tricky, but once everything clicks into place, the drive makes solid contact with the aluminium block—you can rest easy that it will do the job perfectly.
