Board Software

Once again, ASUS has included a great software package, with AI Suite as its main focus. Combining controls for most included hardware-based features, AI Suite offers clock, voltage, fan, and Wi-Fi controls, and anything else you might expect to find here, including the fabled TPU and EPU abilities. There is also a customized interface for the audio, although it is separate.

Getting into the BIOS from the OS is a simple task with ASUS's Boot Setting software, and once you get back into the OS after tweaking BIOS settings, you can check on those changes with the ASUS-branded CPU-Z software. You can then use the provided WebStorage utility to retrieve your OC-testing tools from the cloud.

You can also easily register your new board with a tool provided for such, and set up the traffic priorities of your LAN connection, thanks to ASUS's Turbo LAN software. It comes with a little display that sits on your desktop, showing traffic in real-time.

Wrapping up ASUS's software package, ASUS also included DeamonTools PRO, WinZip, and its own HomeCloud Drive with which you can share data on your local network with some added security built right in. Whether you are a gamer and overclocker or just want to use the ASUS X99 DELUXE as a server, you've got what you need here, and then some. And it, most importantly, all works correctly and does what it ought to do really well.
