Performance Summary - Internal & External Storage

The following graph shows the overall performance of the NAS on all tests we conducted using our custom made software.



As you can see, RAID 1 is the slowest configuration, while RAID 5 with six disks installed is the fastest configuration, although only with a small lead over the second. The performance of the external USB 3.0 disk that we attached to the NAS was very good with both file formats. All in all, the AS-606T performed well, although it was unable to reach the same performance levels as the QNAP TS-669 Pro using similar hardware and targeting the same user group, but the AMD operating system is still pretty new and we strongly believe that a couple updates will increase its performance.

Performance Comparison Graphs

Let's compare the performance of the AS-606T with that of other NAS devices. We currently only have measures for a couple NAS devices, but the following graph will become a lot more comprehensive with a couple more reviews.
