Install the Download Assistant application on a client PC to remotely control ADM's Download Center through any Windows or Mac system. The latter app allows you to easily download and save files to your NAS, which has the NAS completely replace your download PC. Doing so also provides huge energy saving benefits since the NAS consumes much less power than a normal PC. Download Center supports HTTP, FTP, and Bittorrent downloads, and you can also schedule your download tasks and limit download and upload speeds here. Download Center also supports RSS subscriptions and downloads, so you can opt to have your NAS automatically download the contents of RSS feeds. The NAS will, based on your settings, regularly update RSS feeds to download files based on keywords you provide, which makes downloading your favorite TV shows a breeze.
The Asustor Download Assistant application offers enhanced usability and will allow you to exploit your server's download capabilities in a more straightforward way.
File Explorer
The File Explorer app comes pre-installed and allows you to browse and manage all files on your NAS. ADM supports up to three File Explorer windows simultaneously, and you can easily make copies of files by dragging and dropping them into a different File Explorer window. With File Explorer, you are also able to mount ISO files to shared folders to make them available to client PCs.
Activity Monitor
Activity Monitor shows the utilization levels of the NAS server's CPU cores, the memory, and its network port. It also provides the usage level of all disks and a list of all running processes and resources used by system programs.
External Devices
You can format an external storage device into all popular file systems. The External Devices menu allows you to control all corresponding devices that are connected to the NAS.
