The Card
The Radeon X1900 XT 256MB looks exactly like any other Radeon X1900 XTX card, except that there is a different Ruby image on the cooler.
Except for the sticker, the backsides are identical as well.
Like all high-end cards, two DVI connectors are installed on the card. If you need to connect an analog display, a DVI adapter is inside the box. Both DVI ports are dual-link so you can use them with huge high-resolution displays.
ATI uses the same cooler like on the X1900 XTX, it would have been nice if the new X1950 cooler was used here. When spinning up and when running at maximum speed this cooler tends to be quite loud. During regular use and in 2D its virtually inaudible though.
The backside of the fan shows where the air is sucked in. The small red heatsink cools the voltage regulators.
As you would expect from a PCI-Express card, power is supplied to the card by this six pin connector.
