Finished Looks
The Pure Loop 2 FX 280 isn't as subdued visually compared to its predecessor. While the all-black designs typically blend in, the silver CPU block along with the white diffusion rings on the fans add some much-needed contrast. Then there is the ARGB LED lighting which takes things to the next level if you are into that. Overall it's definitely a good look all-in-one liquid cooler, with be quiet! having visually nailed it this time around. I will also note that I did run tests with the pump at the top and the bottom just out of curiosity. The manual shows the pump at the bottom when mounted this way. However, in terms of day one performance, I noticed no difference.
There were no issues on either platform regarding memory and graphics card clearance. While this is normal for most all-in-one liquid coolers, there are still outliers in the market, so it is always a plus to see no conflicts or issues appear here.
When it comes to ARGB lighting, you can tell be quiet! worked hard to get it right. The CPU block and fans are very evenly illuminated. While not 100% perfect. Each individual LED is only somewhat noticeable at reasonable distances. Overall, if you must have ARGB lighting and you are in the market for an AIO, the Pure Loop 2 FX 280 would be well worth looking into from a visual aesthetic standpoint.
