Finished Looks

The be quiet! Pure Rock is a good-looking cooler of solid build quality. Its simple black and silver design will go well with just about any system. The heatsink can even take a second fan; however, fan clips for such a setup were not included.

The aluminum top-plate and heatpipe caps give the Pure Rock a boost in terms of perceived quality. These additions won't make it perform any better, but they do make the Pure Rock feel like more of a premium product.

Clearance around the socket is decent. Users won't have any issues plugging the EPS 8-pin connector in, that is for certain.

Clearance for tall memory sticks is pretty lackluster, especially when competing products like the CRYORIG H7 offer perfect clearance for the same price. Now, it's not a total loss as three out of four DIMM slots are open, so a dual-channel kit will fit without issue; however, the Pure Rock isn't for you if you have four sticks with tall heatspreaders. That said, be quiet!'s cooler does not encroach on the motherboard's first expansion slot, which makes it a good fit for Micro-ATX or Mini-ITX motherboards in that regard.
