Value and Conclusion

  • The Bitspower Leviathan SF 360 radiator costs $79.95 from the Bitspower shop for customers in the USA, as of the date of this article.
  • Excellent build quality
  • Good value for money
  • Good thermal performance at low-mid fan RPMs, and decent scaling with airflow afterwards
  • Four G1/4" ports and included stop plugs offer more plumbing layout options
  • Increased compatibility inside cases as a result of relatively lower width and length
  • High liquid flow restriction relative to all radiators
  • Mid-high fan RPM range is a weak spot when it comes to thermal performance
I'll admit that part of my curiosity for the Bitspower Leviathan series stems from seeing how the OEM market works in the PC DIY watercooling market. Bitspower is usually on the other side of that coin with many customers working with the Taiwan-based company to get water blocks and fittings under a different label. When it comes to radiators, however, they could have gone with their own factory (which in turn means $$$), a China-based OEM, which would have diluted their product offering, or the German/Philippine option. As it turns out, not only is Bitspower going with Hardware Labs as an OEM for radiators, but so is CORSAIR, so it must have been the right move in more ways than one.

As with the Leviathan XF 360, the Leviathan SF 360 has also had a silent revision since its launch a couple of years ago. It was essentially a direct rebrand of the Black Ice Nemesis LS before, and since then, Bitspower has added their own take on it, which necessitated a complete restructure of the radiator core to add two extra ports without sacrificing performance, either. This also resulted in the addition of two Bitspower stop plugs as accessories, and now, the Leviathan XS series is separate enough to have its own identity as part of a comprehensive radiator lineup bearing the Bitspower badge in 120 and 140 mm sizes. The price point is also far more in favor of the Leviathan SF 360 than with the Leviathan XF 360, which makes it far easier to recommend if you wanted a retail product based off the excellent Black Ice Nemesis GTS, but with increased case compatibility and multiple ports in lieu of diminished performance.
