Packaging

The Chieftec Apex Q ships in a simple cardboard box with an outlined image of the unit on both larger panels. The sides have the bare necessities for shipping and logistics printed on them. The package of our sample did not have any carrying holes for easier transport, which is a shame.

Two thick, solid Styrofoam spacers hold the case in place securely and protect it from fall damage during the shipping process. On top of that a clear plastic bag has been applied at the factory to keep away fingerprints and scratches.

You don't really get much in the way of accessories with the case, as Chieftec only includes a bag of black screws as well as black zip ties. That said, it is an above average number of zip ties, so that you should be able to get a good cable management result even if you don't have any of your own. A manual is also included as part of the extras for the Apex Q.
