CM Storm Havoc Gaming Mouse Review

Introduction

CM Storm just released the Havoc, a high-end gaming mouse with the excellent Avago ADNS-9800 sensor on board. The Havoc is very well off sensor-wise, but that is not the only part of it. The Havoc is also fully rubber coated, has a high-grip thumb indentation out of rubber, and sports seven ordinary buttons, eight if you include the scroll-wheel press. Three of these buttons are thumb buttons, which is great.

Priced at just $59, this mouse definitely has a good price/performance ratio. We put the mouse through its paces to see how it performs.

Specifications

  • Avago ADNS-9800
  • Max resolution: 8200 DPI
  • Max tracking speed: 150 IPS
  • Weight: 140 g

Package

Like most of their accessories, CM Storm ships the Havoc in a red and black box.

The cable has a soft, woven sleeve, one of the nicer ones out there. It is softer than the cable on the Mionix mice we tested recently.
