Packaging

Most newer Cooler Master products arrive in a box that features this dark gray-purple color scheme, which I personally find very nice. There's an outer cardboard layer, which contains an inner box with the CM310 inside. There are no accessories—the only contents of the box are the mouse and a quick-start guide. Unfortunately, replacement mousefeet also haven't been included, but at this price point, that is forgivable.

Shape

It's not rare for companies to use OEM/ODM shells, but CM didn't really go down that path, at least not lately. The CM310, however, is extremely similar to the Razer Lancehead with only some minor differences. This usually triggers some people into pointing fingers and yelling things like plagiarism, but most of the time, it's just a matter of buying the shell from the ODM manufacturer, and there are a few more mice I've seen on the Asian market that use this design. As for its shape, it's an interesting, versatile design with both claw and palm grippers in mind. The mouse has a symmetrical shell, but with side buttons on the left side only—this means left-handed users might find it less appealing, but it can still be used comfortably by them even so.

The CM310 has a lot of curves here and there, with the top front and bottom rear flaring out. Both sides are curved inward horizontally and vertically to help with maintaining a stable grip. The main buttons are also grooved in a way to help your fingers settle into a more relaxed position, and the mouse features some interesting-looking design elements on the front, which kind of looks like a car's vent at first glance.

Let's see some measurements! The CM310 is 127 mm (5") long, which is about average for gaming mice. The total width is 71.5 mm (2.81"), but depending on your grip style, the actual width at which it is gripped is approximately 56 mm (2.2"). The total height is 39.5 mm (1.56"), and the hump is a bit towards the back. With these dimensions, I would mainly recommend this mouse to palm and claw grippers with hands that are at least 16 cm long, but no longer than 20 cm. However, it can work outside of those measurements as well as it's all a matter of personal preference.
