Introduction
I would like to thank
Cooler Master for supplying the review sample.
The High Air Flow—HAF for short—series has been around for nearly 15 years, and Cooler Master keeps releasing new variants and versions. The last of these which we reviewed was the Mastercase H500 back in 2019. With the recently launched HAF 500 we are reviewing today, Cooler Master has yet again built on the previous generation to give potential users what they consider to be a modern, competitive high-airflow ATX enclosure. Available in black or white, we received the black variant for review.

Packaging
The chassis ships in the usual brown cardboard box with an image of the unit on front, while the rear goes into additional detail and lists a few marketing bulletin points in several languages. On the side is a full frontal view and detailed specifications list.
Two Styrofoam spacers hold the case in place, and a plastic bag protects it from scratches and fingerprints during the packing process at the factory.
