A Closer Look - The Small Chassis

For the sake of this review, we have left the smaller chassis on top of the larger one. You can easily remove the side panels of this unit while it sits on top. The interior is all-black, and its internal/external drive bays are, just like the larger enclosure below, located in the front.

Cooler Master did not place much else within the smaller case. As there is no I/O right out of the box, there are no cables to be found anywhere.

There is a cage with three hard-drive trays in the front. Its trays utilizes the same mechanism as those in the larger unit, which allows you to swap drives easily and quickly. The single 5.25" drive bay also comes with the same plastic locking mechanism as the ones below.

The large opening at the back allows you to route cables and water-cooling tubes from one chassis to the other. A cutout in the rear also allows for a Mini-ITX board to be installed there. As there are two expansion slots, adding a large, dual-slot card should not be an issue. Above that is a cutout for a standard-sized ATX power supply, which would then allow you to stuff a fairly high-end rig into the smaller chassis.

There are numerous smaller cutouts to give you the utmost flexibility in how and where you route the cables from one case to the other. The large metal-mesh cover on top is there to optimize airflow.
