The Cooltek Skall aims to offer as many features as you could possibly want in a chassis, all at an affordable price point, and it managed to deliver on this quite nicely. At a price point of just over 80 euro, it offers great liquid-cooling support in the ceiling, a two-channel fan controller, and dust filters in front and at the bottom. The interior, although simple, also works well, allowing you to install potent hardware within, with the ability to wire everything up in a nice and clean fashion. If I had one gripe here, it would be that the chassis is a little too slim, so much so that you will not be able to fit some 140 mm cooling units, as Cooltek mentions 165 mm as the maximum height for tower variants.

In terms of construction quality, the Skall is quite well off, but one wonders why there is a blue USB 3.0 lead instead of the black kind we have become accustomed to. However, the Cooltek Skall really managed to put a smile on our faces regardless, especially with its easily removable dust filters in front, spring-loaded push-pin metal-mesh cover in top, and complete I/O panel. There are also its small extras, like the rubber covers on those ports or the included 8-pin CPU power extension cable and GPU support bracket, which are all a nice touch—even if the GPU bracket is not quite as sturdy as we would have liked.

All in all, the Cooltek Skall is a potent, well-designed chassis worthy of a closer look in the crowded higher mid-range market.
