Out of the box, the Corsair 3500X ARGB offer that modern dual-glass design look which has established itself in the market in recent times. It sports clean lines, sharp edges and a mix of glass and metal, forgoing any noteworthy plastic components.

When viewed from the front, the glass is framed in black on three sides, with a small Corsair logo at the bottom. It does have a bit of tint, which is noticeable as you can pop the panel off with a light tug. In the rear, the chassis looks to have a traditional mid-tower layout.

The main side panel is framed in black on three sides as well, with the edges of the two glass pieces together forming that window to view your hardware within. On the opposite side, you can see a uniquely shaped opening and three 120 mm fans behind it. A dust filter has been placed on this opening as well. While it is nice to see three fans here, they are unfortunately not centered, so this doesn't look very cohesive.

Looking at the back, the bottom holds the PSU with two sets of mounting holes. Above that, there are the seven expansion slots. This whole frame of covers may be rotated 90 degrees to allow for four slots to be used vertically instead. At the very top, there is a position to mount a 120 mm fan using elongated mounting holes, so that you can find the best position to suit your needs. Corsair also includes hooks along the left so that you can secure external cables to the case neatly. There is also an opening equipped with an iCUE Link branded cover. This is where you will be able to route cables from that ecosystem externally, to light your desk for example.

The top of the Corsair 3500X ARGB is one big vent with the new, uniquely shaped design. It also has a magnetic mesh dust filter to keep dirt out. Underneath, you will find a large mounting array for three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans Alternatively, you can also fit a radiator of up to 280 or 360 mm in size. Corsair has also placed the I/O here in the form of two USB-A and one USB-C port with an audio combo jack rounding things up. The power button comes equipped with a white LED and looks to be the same as the one we saw on cases like the 2000D.

The entire underside of the chassis is one big air vent and comes equipped with a fine dust filter, which may be pulled out the front of the case. This is the best possible setup for ease of access and cleaning, while providing the best protection against grime.
