Packaging

Corsair ships the 7000D Airflow in a brown cardboard box with an image of the chassis on front and a well-documented blow-up diagram of the same on the back. You will also find its specifications in several languages on one side of the package, while the other comes with a sticker to let you know which case is inside, and an illustration shows you the dimensions of the 7000D Airflow.

Two thick foam spacers hold the full-tower case in place, and a plastic bag covers the chassis, protecting it from fingerprints and scratches during packing at the factory.

Contents

You will receive an assorted set of black screws and plenty of zip ties with the chassis. Unfortunately, our sample only had eight screws for a total of two 2.5" drives even though the case can hold up to ten. We let Corsair know and hope the retail variant will include substantially more. Corsair also includes six high-quality, Corsair-branded Velcro zip ties. While nice to see, twice as many were included with the 5000D Airflow when we reviewed it. New is the vertical expansion-slot bracket that may be used in place of the five classic expansion slots, and a single PWM extension cable so that built-in hub can reach any fan header of your choice. For the interior of the chassis, there is a plastic cover for installing thick liquid-cooling setups in the front instead of the pre-installed shroud. A part of it may be broken out should you need those few millimeters of space for a 480 mm setup in the front of the chassis.

Lastly, a beefy multi-lingual manual and simple safety information booklet round out these extras.
