The Package
The box the Corsair HS35 Stereo comes in definitely stand out on the store shelves. It's painted yellow (at least for the "Carbon" version of the headset) and contains a couple of pretty pictures of the headset and all of its key parts. On the rear is a detailed spec sheet in four languages (English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese).
On the front of the box is a "Discord Certified" badge. This only means that the Corsair HS35 Stereo has been officially endorsed by the good people of Discord, along with
various others. Don't be tricked into thinking that non-certified headsets won't work with Discord—if a headset can play sound and has a working microphone, it will be usable with Discord.
Inside the box, you'll find the headset itself, the detachable microphone, a warranty guide, and a TRRS-to-dual TRS audio adapter. The latter is for when you need to connect the Corsair HS35 Stereo to a device that has a separate audio input and output, as most PC sound cards do. Consoles and mobile devices use a single 4-pole TRRS audio port that works both as the output and input.
All in all, the Corsair HS35 Stereo is nicely packed and well-prepared for worldwide shipping without much risk it will arrive damaged. As far as packaging goes, Corsair made sure their least expensive headset is protected every bit as well as their high-end products.
