Build Quality and Comfort
The build quality of the Corsair HS70 Wireless is surprisingly good. In many ways, it surpasses that of the company's more expensive Void Pro headset lineup. The entire frame of the headset is made out of metal, as are the hangers the ear cups are affixed to. The ear cups are coated in a fine layer of rubber and feel great to handle.
The height of the headset can be adjusted by sliding the ear cups up and down the frame. Corsair didn't forget to mark the height on each side, although the markings are very hard to see when not exposed to direct light. In practice, you'll have to face the headset towards your monitor and angle it in a way that will have the light of your screen make these markings visible.
Both sides of the headband are covered in pleather, with the inner side additionally being filled with memory foam and decorated with accented stitching.
The oval ear cups are also filled with memory foam and covered in exceptionally soft pleather. They surround the ears completely. It's not possible to remove and replace these.
The quality of the materials used to build the Corsair HS70 Wireless is very good—it definitely punches above its weight. I like that the wires that connect the speaker drivers are completely concealed, which makes the headset look cleaner and seem more professional. The clamping force has also been adjusted wonderfully, resulting in excellent wearing comfort. I had no trouble wearing this headset for hours at a time without ever feeling the slightest hint of discomfort.
