Value and Conclusion

  • The Corsair TX750 V2 retails for $99.99
  • Great price/performance ratio
  • Did full power with over 50 °C ambient
  • Tight voltage regulation at +12V
  • Excellent ripple/noise suppression
  • In Advanced Transient Response Tests +12V registered low voltage drops
  • Loose voltage regulation at 3.3V (but still under 5% deviation)
  • In Advanced Transient Response Tests 3.3V registered high voltage drops and failed in both tests
  • In the internals, soldering and assembly quality could be better since I found some sloppy joints and many leaning components that although do not cause any problems in PSU's proper operation, aesthetically wasn't what I expected from a Seasonic/Corsair product
The OEM change, from CWT to Seasonic, made an already good PSU even better. Corsair TX750 V2 has close to 1% voltage regulation at +12V, good efficiency for its class, excellent ripple suppression and enough connectors for its wattage, although we would like it to have an extra EPS connector. Even the bad performance of 3.3V in Advanced Transient Response Tests wasn't enough to spoil the very good impression that TX750 V2 made me.

To sum up, at least in the current period you will not find easily an equivalent PSU with this price tag. For a user that wants to power a double VGA system and can stand non-modular PSUs the TX750 V2 represents the ideal choice, since besides the low price Corsair's name and five years warranty are backing it up.
