Introduction
Darmoshark is a peripherals company based in China. Compared to the M3, the main novelty of the M3 4K is support for true 4000 Hz wireless polling, which lowers both click and sensor latency even further compared to regular 1000 Hz. In addition, the M3 4K comes with TTC Gold main button switches rated for 60 million clicks along with a larger 800 mAh battery to account for the higher power draw brought by 4000 Hz polling. As a result, the weight also has increased over the regular M3, to 66 g. PixArt's latest PAW3395 sensor capable of 26,000 CPI is still used, and the feet are still made of pure PTFE. Unlike the M3, the M3 4K does feature modest RGB lighting on the scroll wheel. The usual customization options are available within the software, which does not require installation. The M3 4K is available in black, white, or yellow.

Disclaimer:
On the launch firmware, the M3 4K suffers from moderately frequent input loss in wireless (2.4 GHz) operation at polling rates of 1000 Hz or lower, which effectively renders the mouse unusable at these settings. This issue has been addressed with the firmware version 00.00.23.00, which is why updating the mouse to said firmware is strongly recommended. All assertions related to performance made in this review are based on the cited firmware.
