Essentially, the shape of the M5 is best described as a uniformly scaled-up G-Wolves HSK Pro. That said, where the shape of the HSK Pro mostly was done due to restraints imposed by its size, such as the hump at the back only being there to allow for side buttons, no such restraints exist for the M5. Hence, the large hump at the back serves little to no purpose, aside from allowing those with small hands to potentially claw grip the M5, though obviously a nominal claw grip mouse may be better suited for that. Despite being much larger, the M5 still has side buttons the size of the HSK Pro, though their placement at least is close to ideal. As the massive hump slopes down gradually, button height will only be near-ideal towards the front, somewhat restricting possible finger placement as a result. The main buttons feature only modest comfort grooves. Much like the Zaunkoenig M2K, the M5 has completely flat sides, and the width is almost identical, too. As such, the M5 lends itself rather well to larger hands, and certainly more so than the HSK Pro. While not necessarily a sound design, the M5 still largely succeeds as a fingertip grip mouse.
As for grip styles, I'd say the M5 is mainly suited for fingertip grip, though claw grip may be possible for those with smaller hands. It is a small mouse with a pronounced hump, which should make it generally suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the M5 perfectly comfortable in fingertip grip.
Dimensions
This table includes the dimensions of the Darmoshark M5 and several other right-handed ergonomic and ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler. For a full list of all measurements taken, please refer to this sheet compiled by an esteemed community member.
