Installation
Installing the cooler is fairly quick and easy. To start, remove the Digital display by lifting it up and then remove the fans. Next remove the AMD motherboard's plastic brackets and then secure the standoffs to the AMD motherboard backplate.
Next, secure the mounting brackets to the standoffs and apply thermal paste making sure to do a better job that I do in these photos. Then mount the cooler to the mounting arms and alternate between the two screws to apply even pressure.
With the cooler mounted install the middle fan and then attach the digital display. Follow that up by neatly running the cables down the channel in the heatsink before attaching the front fan. All that remains is to install the DeepCool software for the display.
Overall, the mounting hardware DeepCool used for the AK620 Digital is top-notch. On AMD systems it is simple and easy, and better yet it doesn't make use of the clip system which tends to be frustrating on the best of days. The installation on Intel is just as easy with the only major difference being the use of DeepCool's included backplate. In general, everything here is well thought out and works as expected.
