Installation

To install the AS500, you will first need to install the backplate and secure it with the proper screw pillars. With those in place, you can install the mounting arms and secure them with the Phillips head nuts.

With the mounting arms in place, you can now apply your thermal paste. With that done, position the heatsink on the CPU and secure it by alternating between the two captive screws. With the heatsink secure, you can now mount the fan.

It's now a process of simply routing the fan and ARGB wiring. Thankfully, Deepcool includes an extension cable, so there are no problems with getting everything installed no matter where your ARGB header is located.

Installation was pretty straightforward overall, and I would rate it a 10 on a scale of 1 (hardest) to 10 (easiest). The mounting hardware is very simplistic and easy to use, reminiscent of Noctua's SecuFirm design. Users can rest easy knowing no weird nuts, washers, or wrenches are needed to get the cooler ready to go.
