Introduction

From the Deepcool website:
Deepcool was founded with the mission of providing the best performance and humanized thermal solutions for worldwide customers. Established in 1996, Deepcool originally produced desktop and server coolers for ODM partners. With the rapid development of personal computers, Deepcool expanded the business into desktop cooling products and laptop cooling accessories.

Deepcool has built up its distribution network in over sixty countries all over the globe, by which end-users can purchase Deepcool products online or in their nearest local stores. With more and more media exposure and publication, such as awards from renowned websites and magazines like Pure Overclock, Tom’s Hardware, Guru3d, CHIP, etc., Deepcool now enjoys a good reputation among daily computer users, gamers, and overclockers.

We will always spare no effort to maintain customer satisfaction by serving our customer’s ever-changing thermal needs and providing the quickest and most comprehensive service available. As our slogan goes, we wish you all “Enjoy your cool life!”

Deepcool may not be a company you hear of often, but they are certainly no newcomer to the PC cooling market. They have pushed forward since 1996, offering a wide range of products. Starting with server and desktop coolers for ODMs, they expanded into the company you see today, offering up innovative designs from R&D teams based in the United States, China, and Germany. These teams make sure they create unique products that deliver fantastic performance. Not only that, but they also make sure these products are RoHS and WEEE compliant.

As for killer products, Deepcool produces everything you can imagine when it comes to cooling computer hardware, including Notebook coolers, cases, HDD coolers, VGA coolers, fans, and more. However, it is their newly launched Gamer Storm brand that is garnering attention. With products like the Dracula VGA cooler and the recently launched Lucifer, they have staked out their claim in the enthusiast market. Anyone looking for aftermarket cooling should also take a peek at what Deepcool offers as it may very well surprise.

In today's review, I look at the Deepcool Gamer Storm Assassin. This heavyweight heatsink has some serious good looks, but that is not all it has going for it. It features eight heatpipes along with a mirror finished copper base that has been paired with dual cooling towers which have a shark tooth fin design. Solely based on its specs and features, the Gamer Storm Assassin may indeed be a monster. Though whether all the above and more will be enough to dethrone the be quiet! Dark Rock Pro 2 remains to be seen.
