A Closer Look

Like most all-in-one liquid coolers on the market, the Deepcool Captain 240EX RGB uses an aluminum radiator. The design has an FPI (fins-per-inch) count of 20, which is also typical of most closed-loop coolers. Fittings can obviously not be changed since this is a closed-loop cooler. That said, the tubing is sleeved, which is a nice touch.

The pump design is unique to Deepcool. Kind of like a steampunk reactor, it now features RGB LEDs. The "Visual Liquid Flow Design", as Deepcool calls it, further adds to the cooler's appearance; that's the glass tube coming out the top for those wondering. Meanwhile, the fittings on the pump have an okay range of motion. When it comes to the base, it's smooth to the touch and clear of any serious machining marks.

Deepcool's TF120 fans that come paired with the Captain 240EX RGB are high-pressure-optimized fans with an RPM range of 500-1800 and a maximum pressure of 3.31mmH20.
