Packaging
The packaging is quite colorful and attention-grabbing. It measures in at 32.7 cm long, 25.4 cm wide, and 13.5 cm tall. On the front, you will find the liquid cooler in all its RGB-illuminated glory along with the badges for various motherboard RGB sync solutions. It mentions their new anti-leak technology as well. Taking a look at the left side, it just has the product name above another color image of the liquid cooler. Turning it once more, we find the specifications on the back, supported CPU sockets, fan speeds, tubing length, features, and technical drawings.
The right side is the same as the left, while the top details various features, including, once again, the anti-leak tech, RGB Sync, etc. The bottom just has the bar code and little else.
Contents
Opening the box shows us the Deepcool Captain 240 PRO in a typical cardboard shell with a piece of foam on top. However, it is a bit different this time around as it's white rather than the typical beige/gray I normally see. While not as nice to see as foam, It was nice to see something a bit different.
Intel and AMD socket support is quite good with this liquid cooler supporting all mainstream sockets. In regards to the RGB LEDs, software control via the motherboard is possible, as well as over an inline controller for those who don't have a motherboard with RGB support.
