Installation

Installing DeepCool's LT720 all-in-one liquid cooler is a fairly easy task. To start with, you will need to remove the pump top, which just pulls off as it is magnetically held in place, then secure the mounting brackets to the pump block via the four small screws. The next step is to remove the AMD mounting brackets on the motherboard but keep the backplate in place.

Since the cooler comes with thermal paste pre-applied, you can skip the application of paste; otherwise, if you have a preferred thermal paste, you will want to clean off the original paste and apply your own. Then, using the AMD standoffs, secure the backplate to the motherboard. With all that done you can now slide the pump onto the standoffs and then secure it with the four nuts, just make sure to alternate between them in a crisscross pattern to ensure even mounting pressure.

With the pump mounted, you can now reinstall the top cover before moving on to the radiator and fans.

All that remains is to plug everything in and route the cables. If you want a quieter overall experience, you can opt to use the low-speed fan adapters. However, in my experience, you are likely just better off fine-tuning a custom fan profile where you can have extreme cooling when you need it but can still enjoy quiet computing 99% of the time.

Overall, the installation is pretty straightforward on AMD and Intel, with no major hurdles or headache-inducing design choices. Thus the LT720 is exceptionally easy to install and should prove a good fit for first-time builders.
