Benchmarking

3DMARK Wild Life:
The 12 nm MediaTek Helio P90 CPU and IMG PowerVR GM 9446 GPU do not support Vulkan rendering paths, so the 3DMARK Wild Life test was unavailable. As an alternative, the phone does run OpenGL.

Geekbench 5:

The 12 nm MediaTek Helio P90 proved itself as a mid-tier CPU and GPU combo compared to other devices available today. I actually expected a bit better performance from a device released in 2022 initially, but then I saw the price and my perspective changed. You actually get decent performance for your dollar here.

Call of Duty Mobile:

Performance was just simply OK on Call Of Duty: Mobile. With mid-level scores in benchmarks, you can only expect so much when it comes to gaming with the Doogee S89 Pro. I did manage to win, so I feel the touch sensitivity of the Doogee S89 Pro is OK to game on, but definitely not the best my bumbling fingers have had to deal with.

PUBG Mobile:

Of course I tried PUBG Mobile. I managed just 9 kills in my first game playing on this device, winning the round. I could tell that the framerate was low in this title, but even so, things remained as what I can only describe as "loose" while playing, and I didn't find myself losing the game because of those low framerates. Gaming isn't the first focus on the Doogee S89 Pro, yet it still does decently enough for my liking.
