It should be no surprise by now that the DUNU x Precogvision Mirai is a green set of IEMs based on the cover photo on the previous page and thus seeing a green product box isn't unexpected either. We see an outer sleeve in green that has the product name on the front before it switches to an off-white/cream color on the back to better showcase the product specs, the brands involved in making the Mirai a reality, and contact info for DUNU. More branding is seen on the sides as we slide out the inner box which itself has an interesting pattern of green and white all around as if it was hydro dipped—props to the Headphones.com design team for this catchy idea. The box opens from the bottom to reveal a layered unboxing experience including a sheet of thick foam with machined cutouts to host the IEMs in individual compartments with the cable seen alongside. Underneath is a booklet walking you through the collaboration process that resulted in the Mirai in its final retail form.
The bottom layer hosts the other accessories which are also neatly arranged for easy retrieval. There's a box on the right which contains a branded microfiber cloth to help keep the IEMs clean, a note about using the modular connectors on the provided cable, and the carry/storage case itself which is a cream colored version of the blue leather case we've seen provided with a few other premium DUNU IEMs in the past. A DUNU logo is embossed on the front and the case is semi-hard with some give while ensuring plenty of protection for the items inside. The zipper tag is sturdy and opens to reveal the case doesn't completely come apart which can be somewhat annoying if you were not expecting this. There's plenty of room to place the IEMs with cable inside though and we see DUNU has stuffed the case with yet more accessories too. I did like the extra attention to detail with the "Mirai" printed on the inside of the soft lining.
DUNU provides a light brown drawstring fabric pouch if you wish to store the IEMs in the individually stitched compartments. We also get the expected modular connectors for the cable in the form of right-angled balanced 2.5 mm and 4.4 mm TRRS as well as single-ended 3.5 mm TRS. The other pouches contain a cleaning tool, a 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm (1/4") TRS adapter, an airline adapter, and some more ear tips to go with the others that come in the hard plastic ear tip case. This means we have three types of ear tips to choose from including some traditional stiffer flange white silicone tips in sizes S/M/L, the softer flange DUNU Candy silicone ear tips in sizes S/M/L, and the more cylindrical DUNU S&S silicone ear tips in sizes S/M/L/XL given these tend to run a size smaller than usual. Interestingly there are no foam tips provided here, perhaps DUNU and Precogvision believe silicone is the way to go with the Mirai!
