Packaging and Accessories

EKWB, at my request, sent in both color options to take a look at in this review. In fact, they actually sent two of each color for a total of four units, so testing will be a decent statistical representation compared to the usual 1-2 each. We see that the fan packaging has received an update as well, with the older fans shipped in a mostly white, larger cardboard box with a plastic window on the front, whereas here, they are color coordinated to the color of the fan inside and have a large printed illustration to go with it. A very interesting feature of these fans is also mentioned prominently on the front, and it is one we will explore in more detail in due time. On the back are the fan's specifications along with more marketing features, and there are three seals on the sides to help keep the contents inside in place.

Opening the boxes, we see that the rest of the packaging is identical to both color options in that the only accessory that comes with them is a set of four self-tapping metal screws in a plastic pouch. Given these fans are meant to solely be used with a radiator, you would use the fans with the screws/mounting solution that came with your radiator instead. These self-tapping screws are more to provide an option in case you decide to use these as case fans, although you can get better options there if I say so myself. The fans themselves come in a plastic blister inlay, which is fairly thick and helps protect them further on top of the shipping packaging.
