Shape

The shape of the OP1 8K goes far beyond being a merely sized-down XM2. The OP1 8K is smaller of course, though only marginally shorter and, most significantly, much narrower. Whereas on the XM2, the wide rear integrated organically into the curved-in sides to create a Sensei-like curvature, neither the rear flares out nor the sides curve in as much on the OP1 8K, resulting in a more neutral silhouette. Since the front doesn't flare out much, either, the width is near-constant across the length. The only key design element clearly identifiable from the XM2 is the hump curvature, as the apex of the hump is situated towards the rear, and gradually slopes down to the low-sitting front. Another novelty over the XM2 are the main buttons now being framed by ledges, similarly to the Logitech G Pro X Superlight or Pulsar X2, though comfort grooves continue to be absent almost entirely as to not restrict finger placement. In fact, the closest comparison in terms of overall shape indeed is the Pulsar X2, which is wider, however.

As for grip styles, I'd say the OP1 8K is mostly suited for claw grip. It is a medium to small sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the OP1 8K very comfortable in claw grip.
