Shape

No changes have been made to the shape of the XM2 8K compared to earlier iterations. With the wide back and rear-positioned hump giving the back of the palm ample space to rest on, it continues to be a quintessential claw-grip shape. The front sits very low, and although a fairly wide design overall, the middle area is notably narrower than the front and back, especially towards the base. The curvature of the sides is highly reminiscent of the SteelSeries Sensei, which comes as no surprise as the shapes of the Sensei and XM2 8K share the same designer. Much like the Sensei, the XM2 8K lacks any aggressive curves that would otherwise restrict finger placement.

As for grip styles, I'd say the XM2 8K is mostly suited for claw grip. It is a medium-sized mouse with a fairly pronounced hump, which should make it suitable for most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the XM2 8K very comfortable in claw grip.
