Efficiency still hasn't been certified by the 80 Plus organization at the time of this review, but EVGA states that it meets Gold efficiency requirements. Well, the good news is that you don't have to wait for the 80 Plus organization to certify it since we will give you a complete and detailed picture of its efficiency.

The PSU can, like the ATX spec recommends, operate with a full load at up to 50°C, and its protection feature list is complete; it also includes OTP. The fan is equipped with a ball-bearing to ensure prolonged trouble-free operations. They last significantly longer than sleeved-bearing fans.

The unit's dimensions are larger than normal and its length reaches 18 cm. Nevertheless, most chassis will accommodate it without a problem. Finally, the warranty is quite long at five years and the price is high enough to put the unit close to the high-end category.

There are four +12V rails in total with a not-so-high OCP - at least on papers. The power that all +12V rails can deliver together reaches the unit's maximum, overall power-output. Also, the minor rails are strong with 150 W maximum combined output, and the 5VSB rail has enough juice to provide for a PSU of this capacity/category.

Cables & Connectors, Power Distribution

Native Cables
ATX connector (600mm)20+4 pin
8 pin EPS12V (600mm)1
4+4 pin EPS12V (600mm)1
6+2 pin PCIe (600mm) / 6 pin PCIe (+150mm)4 / 4
4 pin Molex (550 mm+100mm+100mm)6
SATA (550mm+100mm+100mm+100mm)9
FDD adapter(+100mm)2

EVGA equipped this PSU with eight PCIe connectors (half of them are 6 pin and the other half are 6+2 pin) and two EPS connectors, and all of them are available at the same time! That is a crazy number of connectors for a 750W PSU, and you had better not try feeding three or more high-end VGAs and other power-hungry components through this PSU at the same time because that would spell trouble. The number of the available SATA and peripheral connectors is high as well, but that number is surely not as impressive.
All cables feature a high-quality sleeving and are stealth, meaning that all of their wires are black. Cable length is generally adequate, but the distance amongst the peripheral connectors is small and should be close to 15 cm. Finally, all connectors use wires of 18AWG size, which is, in most cases, the minimum allowed by the ATX specification.

Power Distribution
12V1ATX, EPS1
12V2PCIe1, PCIe2
12V3EPS2, Peripheral, SATA
12V4PCIe3, PCIe4

Given the few rails and the high number of connectors that this PSU is equipped with, power distribution is optimal because its EPS connectors don't mix up with its PCIe connectors.
