The EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED features a 14+2+2 phase VRM configuration. EVGA marketing material says 19 phases for the Z790 Classified and the count here is 18 around the CPU socket. It is unknown at this time if these power stages are set up as teamed, or direct PWM signal to each MOSFET. An oscilloscope is required for confirmation.

EVGA is using a Renesas RAA 229131 PWM controller to drive the EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED power stages.

The EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED uses Renesas RAA22010540 power stages for the 14 Vcore phases. These power stages each support a maximum of 105 A of continuous current. Two additional phases at the top are suspected for the VCCGT (iGPU). These are also using the Renesas RAA22010540 (105 A) power stages.

On one end of the motherboard VRM is the VCCAUX power rail. This is using a Monolithic Power Systems M2940A PWM paired with two MP86903-C power stage.

The EVGA Z790 CLASSIFIED has a maximum output of up to 1,470 A dedicated to Vcore.
