Prior to release, the BOLT has been likened to several other popular shapes, especially the Zowie S2. While certain elements from other designs no doubt can be identified, the BOLT is best described as its own thing. Compared to the S2, the most immediately noticeable difference is that the BOLT is both shorter and wider. Furthermore, while the hump curvature and position is similar, the front of the BOLT is lower, leading to a greater shift in relative height, and the hump is more tapered. In addition to that, the sides aren't curved inward as aggressively, resulting in a slightly flatter, yet still concave profile. Overall, while clearly a take on the S2 shape, the shape of the BOLT is not a straight copy, and works well in practice.
As for grip styles, I'd say the BOLT mostly suits claw grip, with palm grip being possible at least. It is a medium-sized mouse with a moderately pronounced hump, which should make it generally suit most hand sizes. For reference, my hands are 19 cm long and 10 cm wide, and I found the BOLT very comfortable in claw grip.
Dimensions
This table includes the dimensions of the Fnatic BOLT and several other ambidextrous mice. "Front height" denotes the distance between the base and main buttons. Measurements with two decimals have been taken with a caliper, while those with one decimal have been taken with a ruler.
