Value and Conclusion

  • The Fnatic Gear Flick is currently available for around $50 on Fnatic's shop.
  • Pixart 3310 sensor tracks well
  • Switches are very nice
  • Comfortable when using claw or fingertip grip
  • Relatively complete software suite
  • Sleeved cable
  • Not really suitable for a palm grip if you have large hands
The Flick is an excellent first release by Fnatic Gear. They have done very well in pinning down what is needed in a competitive mouse. The Pixart 3310 sensor is a pleasure to use and tracks well on all the surfaces I tested it with. The mouse is also very light, allowing it to be moved around quickly when those panicked 180 shots are taken, and the build quality is excellent. The only real issue for me was that I take on more of a palm-like grip since I use my mouse for office work just as much as for gaming. Such a grip is, even though I have very small hands, not as comfortable as with some other mice. The side buttons are easy to reach and feel great when in game, and the clicks the buttons emit are quiet, but give the necessary feedback.

The software is almost perfect, although there is still some room for improvement, such as being able to change the LOD. It is easy to set up macros and to change sensitivity, and the multiple profiles allow for different settings to quickly be changed for different games.

Overall, it is hard to find anything wrong with this mouse. If you are serious about gaming and want a mouse that is simple, works, and doesn't try to be crazy, this one could be the one for you.
