Packaging

Fractal has changed their M.O. by packaging the Define R4 in a brown cardboard box instead of a full color variant. A simple drawing of the chassis can be found on the front, while a blow-up diagram has been placed on the back. On one side, a list of specifications goes into a bit of detail about the chassis, while the other side only cites which color version is within the package. Carrying holes on either side of the box also help with transportation.

Two thick Styrofoam spacers hold the Define R4 in place. Fractal has moved from foam spacers to this more traditional material. A thin plastic bag protects the case from scratches and fingerprints.

Contents

There are quite a few changes within the R4, and this shows with the contents you will receive. Gone is the external fan controller or the 5.25" to 3.5" adapter. Instead, the contents are limited to sorted bags of screws, a few zip ties, and a set of foam rings to use in fan installation, for example. You will also get a simple, effective manual with the Define case.
