Packaging and Contents

Fractal Design placed the Kelvin S24 inside a rather large box that measures in at 35 cm in length, 25 cm in width, and 15.1 cm in height. The front comes with an image of the cooler, the company and product name and the tag line "Powerful, Quiet, Expandable". The left side holds the radiator's dimensions and lists the contents of the package, which include the mounting hardware, fans, thermal paste, etc. On the back, a few paragraphs in English give you a brief rundown on the Kelvin S24 and what its about, alongside an image of the pump and the radiator. The right side lists the cooler's features, which include a piano-black top cover, Alphacool DC-LT ceramic-bearing pump, Standard G 1/4" fittings, and a custom jetplate, just to name a few.

The top of the box features what appears to be a sticker with the same paragraphs as on the back, but in various other languages. The bottom is just a boring black with the company and product name as the only prominent things of note.

Contents

Upon opening the box, you will be greeted with all the parts and pieces, wrapped in plastic and inside a cardboard tray with just a thin piece of foam on top. While the packaging doesn't offer a ton of protection, it has proven reliable and adequate enough over time, so there is nothing to worry about when it comes to the product's own protection inside.

Fractal Design supports all modern sockets with the Kelvin S24. The company also included exceptionally good documentation, including an excellent user guide; it stands apart from others of late by being clear, clean, and easy to read. While user guides have grown increasingly sparse over the years, Fractal Design has bucked that tread, which is nice to see. Overall excellent documentation is provided, along with everything a user would need to mount the cooler to their system. Only extra screws for a possible push/pull configuration are missing, but that is hardly the end of the world.

Common parts supplied for mounting include:
  • 8x M3 radiator screws
  • 8x M3 Short radiator screws
  • 4x Intel mounting screws
  • 4x Intel 2011 mounting screws
  • 4x Mounting screw springs

  • 4x Mounting screw nuts
